I first became interested in technology by tinkering.  Every computer in my reach was dismantled, rebuilt, and improved.  Making technology work and making it work better is still a big part of what I do.
I became passionate about information security while managing the technology   and information safety systems at a local bank.  I quickly came to understand that security had two major components.  One was the technology itself.  Technology can be set up to reduce vulnerabilities of all sorts.  While that is good and necessary, it is alone not enough.  The second, and perhaps most important component is the person, the user. 

In 2014 I started MashGrape, a managed technology company for small business with the aim of providing corporate level information security and technology services for small businesses in Lee County.  MashGrape ensures small businesses have quality technology and information security for themselves and their customers.
  While working with small business owners and their employees to keep their, and their customer's information safe, I was reminded of that most important component, the user.  The importance of the user's needs is why my wife Brandi and I have decided to start a new company, TecHouse.  A company that seeks to insure that our neighbors, our parent, our friends, our children's technology works and their information is always safe.  With Brandi's experience in education and knowledge of end user experience, and with my knowledge of technology and information security, we together have a mission to make sure your technology works the way you need and ensure that your information is always under YOUR control.
